Student Responsibilities

 

  1. Meet with Department Chair or Assigned Faculty to Determine Internship Eligibility
      • Best Practice: Submit “Letter of Intent to Register” (Formsite)
      • Meet with department chair or assigned faculty 60-90 days prior to the beginning of the semester
  1. Prepare Resume, Cover Letter and Portfolio (Optional) Register for Internship Course
      • Students requiring assistance should schedule an appointment with a career services specialist a minimum of 30 days prior to the beginning of the semester
      • The Career Services Team is available to assist students with resume, cover letter, and interview skills
  1. Interview for Internship Positions
  2. Complete Internship Agreement
      • Agreement is due by the end of the 6th week of class, Friday.
      • Agreements not received by the 6th week of class and without explanation may result in a mandatory drop, course incompletion or fail
  1. Complete Student Employer Evaluation
      • Best practice: Students will complete evaluations 1-2 weeks before the end of the semester
